The Dooyewaard Stipendium Award is a Dutch art award for post academic talent development and has been awarded annually to young artist since 1998. In the past decade or so candidates have been selected from HKU Fine Arts graduates. The winner receives a monthly stipend and has the free use of our studio/house at the Fransepad for one year. It gives artists the opportunity to develop their work in the peace and convenience of a free living/working space. It also gives the winners the opportunity as artists to bridge the gap between their training and their future social position by inviting galleries, collectors and an interested public to their studio.
