The Dooyewaard Stipendium Award is a Dutch art prize, awarded annually since 1998 to a young artist for a year of in-depth exploration and further development. The candidates are selected from graduates of the Fine Arts program at HKU in Utrecht. The winner receives a monthly allowance and lives and works in the Stipendium studio at Fransepad in Blaricum.
It offers artists the opportunity to develop further in the tranquility and comfort of a rent-free living/workspace. It also gives the winners a chance to explore further education, the master’s phase, and the professional art world. The work period traditionally concludes with an exhibition at Galerie Pouloeuff in Naarden.
